It's not what you think

Okay, I'm breaking character here to give an update. I know you all (haha, "all") think that I'm completely slacking on this project. Well, that's only half true. I'm slacking on the journalling of my adventure, but I'm not on the actually adventuring.

I have 200-300 screenshots waiting to be sifted through along with narrative from my last post to the present. I've pretty much made it all the way through the game. I just kept meaning to get "to the next thing" but I kept doing so well that I just kept going. As it stands right now all of my guys are level 29 and pretty much poised to make the final assault on the Temple of Chaos.

Just though I'd give a heads up.

I played a bit of the original NES FF tonight, and I had to stop. The graphics and sounds, and slowness of all the conversation windows opening and closing was just too much. I'll have to play the FF Origins version I guess.

The music is definitely less painful on the PS1 version. And I guess I don't know for sure, but I'm thinking that conversations are probably more tolerable as well.
I will admit that the control isn't really tight. It could be because I'm playing it through my computer and there's some kind of delay, but sometimes when I try to choose options in a menu the pointer will fly through the menu, past the item I wanted. It can be annoying.
